Milla Bush Tonic is here!

Put some sparkle and fizz in your day with our exciting new additions to our Milla Cordial range. Available in Apple, Ginger & Rosella (No Added Sugar) and Ruby Grapefruit & Lemon Aspen, our ready-made and ready-to-drink Milla Bush Tonics are the perfect match for long, lazy Aussie summer afternoons. Take them along to picnics and bbqs in backyards, gardens, parks and beaches – your friends and family will love you for it.

“Due to popular demand we’ve added a little fizz - and a lot of bush sparkle - to our much loved range of 100% Australian-owned and grown Milla Cordials,” explains Camilla Strang, co-founder of Milla Cordials.

The whole family will clamour for the Apple, Ginger & Rosella (No Added Sugar) Milla Bush Tonic, which contains no added sugar and native Australian ginger. Ginger is rich in magnesium, potassium and vitamin B6, and this was one of the earliest ingredients used by the first European settlers in Australia who recognised its health benefits and amazing flavour. The beautiful and iconic Rosella flower is native to Western Australia, imbuing this tonic with its gorgeous crimson colour and lots of lovely vitamin C.

Make your heart zing with the zesty Ruby Grapefruit & Lemon Aspen Milla Bush Tonic, ideal as a mixer and buzzing with bush flavor and vitamin C. Lemon Aspen is an Australian native bush food found in tropical North Queensland, with a wonderfully zesty lemon taste. It’s a marriage made in heaven when combined with ruby grapefruit, delectably originally known as the ‘forbidden fruit’.

We hope you enjoy our new Sparkling Bush Tonic as much as we do. Available now at your selected stockists or online at

Keeping your cool with Party Planning

Sweltering Summer is the perfect time for refreshing get togethers and family fun! Make your party a breeze with these simple tips:

  • Set up big cushions on rugs under trees for 'al fresco' relaxation zones
  • Keep the menu simple with fruit platters, anti-pasto platters and grazing food that doesn't require kitchen time.
  • Prepare your icebox. Spread a layer of crushed ice around your ice box the day or night before you use it. Use block ice and add some salt to your ice.
  • Cool your drinks and food first to prolong your ice.
  • Grab some outdoor games to keep the kids occupied - croquet, quoits and totem tennis are always a hit!
  • You don’t need a pool to cool down, grab a hose and a few garden soakers and watch the kids run under the water!
  • Keep the clean-up simple with eco-friendly, biodegradable paper plates and cutlery. With increasing popularity you can grab these at most major retailers and they can go in the compost with the food when you’re done!
  • Make sure you have plenty of Milla Cordial in the fridge to refresh your guests.
  • Try one of our fabulous recipes, with icy pops for the kids and something stronger for the adults!

It’s really lovely to buy Local

The Central West of NSW is known as the food bowl of NSW, and this bowl is positively overflowing with an abundance of delicious, local apples, pears and stoned fruit, a huge variety of artisanal produce, and not forgetting a glass or two of boutique, cold climate wine!

Over the last few years, Orange has become one of Australia’s premiere foodie destinations, with many seasonal events and festivals celebrating the local delights, and of course our very own monthly Orange Farmers Market brimming with award winning, artisanal produce too.

We at Millamolong are proud to support the local businesses, and producers whenever we can.  We have committed to only buying fruit for our Milla Cordials and Milla Bush Tonics from Australian producers.

But our very own local deli, A Slice of Orange, is making even more noise for the buy local campaign, by introducing into our local Harris Farm Market a huge and diverse range of products from the best local growers and producers around. With a dedicated section in the centre of the store, it is easy to seek out the local gems, and make a choice to support the immediate community.

“A Slice of Orange was founded on the basis that eating locally is a logical and necessary part of our daily routine. Buy choosing to support local artisan producers, you can be assured that you are eating food at its most optimal level of freshness and when in season. An intimate knowledge of how your food is grown, and by whom, and the processes it has gone through are essential for the wellbeing of yourself, your family and the world. Shop local! Your body and community will thank you for it."

Lisa Lovick, A Slice Of Orange

Buying local comes with so many benefits for you and your community;

  • Support for local economy
  • Support for local growth and agriculture
  • Improved sustainability from reduced transport cost and energy waste
  • Creates more local jobs

Here is a list of some of our favourite local producers that can be found in Orange, or at a gourmet grocer or Farmers Market near you:

Second Mouse Cheese Company – All taste, no traps! Delicious hand-made specialty cheeses including camembert, Double Brie and Quark. They introduce new cheeses regularly and conduct cheese making classes for the aficionado!

Trunkey Creek Bacon – 100% Australian locally grown pork products.  Their deliciously smoked sweet bacon is not to be missed. Be prepared for a pig out!

Carbeen Pastured Produce – a ‘Beyond Organic’ farming practice means the highest quality meat products.

The Agrestic Grocer  A haven for a local foodie frenzy, including their own freshly grown produce.

Hillside Harvest  Local apple and pear grower with enticing farmgate shop stuffed of local produce, including their own famous double yolk eggs.
